welcome to Mary’s world…

Mary comes from the bear pits in Berne Zoo.
But she sees much, much more of the world when she befriends the Owl Man (so-named because of his glasses), and the wonderfully glamorous Fancy-Coat-Lady…

whose coat is indeed VERY fancy.

Mary’s human friends are kind and long-suffering, and give in – almost always – to her every wish, especially when it comes to her sweet tooth.

But there are the bears, too. You will learn who’s who on the bear family tree (one of my FAVOURITE pages to draw!), but meanwhile I can only leave you to guess who has the upper hand.
