Inspired by the love poems featured in The Guardian on Valentine’s Day, my daughter got busy with her photoshop skills, and our guinea pigs – living the quiet and refined life of two solitary spinsters – wrote a verse for each other.

Strawberries are red,
Lettuce is green,
You’re the only guinea pig
I’ve ever seen.
