I’m not here today. I’ve popped over to Playing by the book for the second in our series of mini-books to download and print, inspiring children to tell stories of their own. Maybe writing, maybe drawing, maybe just day-dreaming…
Today’s theme is the seaside and the ocean.
(How lovely! How I wish I was on the beach right now, in some beautiful sunshine!)
So do come on over to Zoe’s place and have a look. It’s just the kind of grey day to curl up with a mini-book and a pencil and drift off into the sparkly world of the imagination.
As your Mum says in one of her books: “A day by the sea is the BEST kind of day” !!!
Hello James! I How funny, I always think of that line too.
She’s so good at writing words that feel like they have existed forever…
It’s a lovely theme, the seaside – have you ever written a story about it?
The nearest was a book (out of print now) called Miranda the Castaway… I do find sand and waves hard to paint!
I’d love to see it one day.
Yes, me too – especially the best bit, the breaking waves: completely beyond me!
