On Sunday July the 1st at Kings Cross Central, I’m going to be taking part in the most amazing event in the children’s books calendar, The Pop-Up Festival of Stories, and I absolutely CANNOT WAIT…
It’s a weekend of events, on Saturday June 30th and Sunday July 1st, with so much going on. We are appearing on Sunday: here are the details.
I’m in James Mayhew’s team, and as I’m sure you know he’s something of an expert in innovative events for young people.
Our space will be dedicated to bringing art alive in a specially created POP-UP PICTURE PAVILION, full of eye-popping masterpieces made by us and the children!
Do hop over to read all about the thrilling things he has planned here.
In my corner we shall be making a HUGE collaborative piece of artwork on the theme of
the jungle!
Take the wonderful paintings of Rousseau…
add into the mix plenty of inspiration from the animals
and the birds
and the plants that Rousseau painted…
a riot of colour and a whole heap of imagination…
and the results are going to be spectacular.
It’s an all day drop-in, from 1pm, and it’s FREE.
So, jungle-adventurers: come on over to The Festival of Stories on the 1st – we’d love to see you!
Clara, how old – or rather, how young- do you have to be to join in. Is 12 too old? 14 too old? 15 too old? 47 too old? Sounds WONDERFUL and I would love to come & bring family, but not to take over space for little ones..
James is right – all and any age, and I can’t imagine anything nicer that seeing you all there. An older spare of hands would be mightily appreciated too…!
(but I don’t think 47 is quite old enough, personally)
Oh any age is just fine – come one and all! And Clara… what fun we shall have! Hurrah!
Won’t we just…
I’m so happy you invited me – THANK YOU!
