this week, I mainly…
pulled up the drawbridge and got on with some writing.
Which always involves a lot of end-of-pencil-chewing and staring out of the window.
It mostly looked a lot like this:
You see that tiny patch of blue? Not enough for a pair of cat’s pyjamas, but JUST big enough for some inspiration to squeeze through I’m hoping.
‘Writing’ means scribbly thumbnails too.
I also:
met my friend’s dog Murphy, who gazed mournfully at every mouthful of supper I ate…
and shouted at his reflection in the window.
I did a large amount of bear-style bowl-licking while making a meringue roulade…
and very much enjoyed the chocolate scribbling.
In all – a scribbly week!
That is a SPECTACULAR meringyoo roulade.
Ah thank you, from one half-bear to another.
Do you think Miss Mary Plain would approve?
Mary Plain is sitting on the empty plate in the larder with rather chocolaty ears and paws. She hopes you weren’t SAVING it or anything.
I was saving it for her, naturally.
Thank goodness I ordered in the three dozen iced buns too.
I really love the little books which we were able to print and put together,
thank you.
I am taking them to my four year old granddaughters on Tuesday and looking forward to lots of fun!
Regards,
Sue
Hello Sue, thank you so much for getting in touch – I really appreciate it!
Delighted to hear that the mini-books seem like fun. I do hope your granddaughters enjoy them – do let me know how you get on if you have a moment!
I always love to see your pictures. They never fail to make me smile : )
Hello Kate, thank you so much for your lovely comment – I’m really happy to *meet* you, and and can’t think why I haven’t before!
Just having a lovely look around donotbreakthedog.blogspot.co.uk/ which I already love…
