Martha and the Bunny Brothers I Heart School is here at last!
Me and my bunny brothers Monty and Pip (and not forgetting our puppy Paws of course – he ALWAYS wants to join in!) are hopping about all smiles and excitement, because today it’s our 0th birthday! Our book Martha and the Bunny Brothers I Heart School published by HarperCollins is OUT at last!
HOORAY! HOORAY! HOORAY!
It’s a HAPPY BOOK all about me, and in it I’m getting ready for my first day at school. I’m really looking forward to it, but there’s one huge problem: my bunny brothers are going to miss me SO MUCH. So I set up The Happy Bunny Club! Please hop on over to Library Mice, where our lovely friend Melanie has written us a very very very nice review; she really understands small rabbits and says it all much better than we could. She says we are heart-melting! And keeps this (that we made for her) on her dresser…
and now…
you’re all invited to join The Happy Bunny Club too!
Anyone can join – boys and girls of all ages, mums and dads, grandparents, Single Ladies and chaps, pets… and if I’ve left anyone out – you’re invited too! Me and my bunny brothers are in it already of course, and Paws, and Clara, and her guinea pigs…
There will be a special membership pack sent out to all our members, full of nice surprises and goodies. Look out for lots of fun and larks to follow – things to do and make here on Clara’s blog in a special Club area that’s just for us, and happy thoughts and ideas.
All you have to do is answer these questions, in the reply box below:
- your name (initials or nicknames is fine – we can exchange full details later on)
- your age (if you’re a small person, that is…)
- your birthday
- tell me something that makes you happy!
Congratulations! Your posts always make me smile, but this one especially as it’s such good news for you and for bunnies everywhere. I’m sure my Child4 would love to join (actually Child3 might as well, but that might just be greedy).
Child4’s initial are OIMR (aka ‘Oi Mr!’ – 13.4.09) and Child3’s are THMR (the ‘HM’ making an otherwise very boring name look sophisticated – 23.2.07). Child4 is made happy by trains, trains, and more trains, and a few more trains thrown in for good measure. Child3 is made happy by aubergines, lollipops, and being allowed to put dishwasher tablets in the dishwasher.
Perfect! Hop on board! THANK YOU!

Aww, thank you for the kind words about my review, and happy publication day! I am sure Daughter would love to join. Her date of birth is 14.03.05 and for soem weird reason she wishes she was called Nancy (I blame Fancy Nancy) so that can be her nickname!
How lovely! Welcome!
(funnily enough Clara nearly called ME Nancy too, when she was writing this book – so it’s all destined to be just right!)

DEFINITELY getting this book for my under 5s art class….and tell them all they can join the Happy Bunny Club!
Thank you so much Jane – that’s wonderful!
(your (real) bunnies have joined already, in that special non-verbal way that bunnies communicate with each other…)
Martha XX
thought they had been rather secretive about something lately!
We rabbits do LOOK as if not much is going in between the ears except fluff – but we have all sorts of secrets!
Hello!
Matha you are the prettiest bunny I have seen and those brothers of yours look like they’d be a hoot! I’d LOVE to be in the Bunny Club!
My name is Alex, but when I was younger I was called Ally Panda by my parents.
I am (*coughcoughtwentycouch*) six and a half years old.
My birthday is 2nd August.
And what makes me happy is meeting lovely, funny illustrators on Twitter and goggling their beautiful work. I also enjoy making and eating cake and having conversations with my little dog.
Now you must leave your details on either my blog ( I won’t publish them) or via direct message on Twitter so I can send you a little something.

xx
Alex, it is SO LOVELY to have you on board and to be in touch! I can’t believe Clara didn’t sort this out already, HONESTLY…
Thank you, that’s perfect! Especially the bit about me being pretty.

My little bunnies are:

Really looking forward to Saturday 🙂
Two perfect bunnies for the Club – thank you so much! Hooray!
Cant wait for us all to say hello in person…

Happy publication day, what a hop-tastic club & I have a couple of bunnies (& perhaps someone who loves tea as much as the March Hare) who would love to join. Bryn is happy when listening to stories, talking in ‘machine-code’ language and telling me what to do, while Freya is happy eating books, babbling and telling me what to do.
WElcome to the Club, Bryn and Freya! I’m very interested to hear that your mum needs bossing around a bit. Ours does too.
Hop-tastic is a VERY good word – I must tell Clara so she can put it in her next book about us!

This is such a lovely idea Clara thank you x My little one is called Amelie and she is two. Her birthday 9/12/09 and she loves Muffin (yes we are still taking the book everywhere), cake and pretty much anything that is pink! Good luck with the new book x
Hello Amelie, welcome on board! I’m so happy that you still like our friend Muffin, too…
and we all LOVE pink – especially the boys!

Happy publication day and what gorgeous bunnies! Clara would love to join Martha’s club please, she is 5 birthday and her birthday is 12th September. Bunnies make her happy, as does drawing and flowers. Tasha xx
How great and brilliant to have another Clara in The happy Bunny Club! Your Clara sounds more my cup of tea…
Perfect, thank you so much!

Oh, how very lovely 🙂 I have a little boy here about to move from nursery to the kindergarten in his new school (in April – gulp!) who I think would love to join the bunny club. Milo, aged 3 1/2 (7.11.2008), and the things that make him happy are, cars, robots, the colours purple, red and pink and eating cake and marmite spaghetti (not at the same time, though he would if I let him!) and scooting everywhere “really fast with flashing lights on to catch the burglars!” 🙂 Lovely, lovely… enjoy your pub day!
What a perfect time to be joining the Happy Bunny Club, just before starting in kindergarten! I shall be sending him a special good luck message.
Mmmm, I like the sound of his favourite snacks…

I am Queen Scamp and I am 4 and I have a brother called Ozzy. He is 2 and a stinky boy but I still love him. Even if he doesn’t like pink.
Cupcakes make up happy. And cuddles and bubbles!
We want to be in your Happy Bunny Club!
Hello Queen Scamp and Ozzy! You are completely perfect for The Happy Bunny Club and I am SO PLEASED you’re on board!
(your new site is going to be a big hit with all us bunnies worldwide…)

Happy publication day! *releases balloons and glitter confetti* I love love love your happy bunnies!
I am *whisper* 32 years old & my birthday is 13th December. Stuff that makes me happy – writing, sunshine, books, music & walking with my Hound! X
Hello Emma, it’s so completely brilliant to hear from you! *dancing about in the glitter confetti and playing with the balloons*
We all love the same things that you do too. And now Clara has a grown-up friend to chat to in The Happy Bunny Club!
Martha XX
Congratulations!!!! The book looks fantastic! I think you know who I am Kimberley, the ‘grown-up’ bunny who is also an illustrator. I am possibly too old for the bunny club, but I do LOVE books, and drawing books and eating far too many sweets! Oh and not to forget dogs, i love all pooches! x
Thank you so much – and it’s so lovely of you to join in! Especially as now Clara has another grown-up bunny to chat to in The Club (she’s a lot older than you, incidentally)
– and she’s always going on about how great your work is…!

Happy Publication day!! 🙂 Great stuff *does butt shuffle*

Welcome to The Happy Bunny Club – Emma, Chloe and James! It’s so completely brilliant to see you here!
We bunnies are LOVING all this butt-shuffling, and might have to ask you to lend it to us for the official Club Dance.
Just hopping over to snugglebuttandtheminimes.blogspot.com right now…
Martha XX
What great news on this lovely day! Thanks for letting us know.
I know two bunnies that would be chuffed to be members of the club. D is 5, her birthdady is 03/01 and D is 2,his birthday is 17/01.

Hello! That’s perfect – thank you so much for joining up!
We can all smile like sunshine together…
Martha XX
I’m in! Totally sold on the concept of the Happy Bunny Club.
I’m Rhiannon aka the last slayer. Mum to 2 boys : M (26/12/2009) and R (08/07/2011) and right now, what would make me happy is for this darn stomach bug that’s been plaguing the boys for the last week to just go away before my washing machine explodes!
Apart from that, cake usually works!
We are all VERY sorry that we have taken so long to reply (spent an Easter-bunny weekend away) –
but HOORAY! It’s so brilliant to have you on board! It sounds like your little bunnies have had a rotten time with being unwell. We are going to try our absolute best to cheer them up.
Martha XX
Hello Martha! can I join? My name is Anne and I am 7 X 6 and then + 5 – but part of me feels just the same age as when I used to snuggle up in bed with my teddy, and I think you are gorgeous.
Reading books like yours makes me very happy – and trying to write my own stories and draw pictures makes me happy too. I love a lovely cup of tea and chatting to people, ( lots on twitter) and being married to Graeme and being a mum and having 2 dogs and 4 hens makes me very happy too!
I have 4 children and they love you too. They said your book was ‘cool’. The oldest is 5 +5+5. Her name is Joanna. The next is Michael and he is going to be 5 +5+4 on Easter Sunday -so in 2 days! He says playing the trumpet makes him happy. Then the next are twins and they are both 6+6. Laura says the smell of cut grass, drinking hot chocolate and giving and receiving hugs makes her happy. Christina says Ben and Timmy our dogs make her happy.
I think Graeme, who is 5 x 10 + a few, should join too as a surprise for him! He is very kind and what makes him happy is watching rugby and playing piano, but not at the same time..
Oh – and Ben and Timmy our dogs, and Anastasia, Poppy, Betty and Hermione our hens would like to too…
Is that OK? We could just have one family goodybag – it seems a bit greedy to have more and we would be VERY happy!
Hello Anne! A slightly late (due to being away) but HUGE welcome to the Happy Bunny Club one and all! You are all just completely perfect to join, and thank you for sharing all the lovely things that make you each happy. We are especially looking forward to surprising Graeme with joining him up into the Club…
and your dogs and hens too, our first pets apart from Clara’s guinea pigs!

Hi Martha,
Me and my daughter of 4 had nice time with you at the Discovery Story centre. She loved making little bunny and making things like that. She will love to have a welcome pack posted to her with her name on it and hopefully will take it to school to the ‘ show and tell time’. Please let her join the club. Thank you
Sujeetha
Hi Sujeetha,
How lovely to hear from you! I am so pleased you both had a nice time at our visit to the Story Centre last week, and it would be wonderful if your daughter joins our little Club. Thank you so much!
Martha XX
Thank you! Two very happy children today after recieving their welcome packs in the post. Harry bunny and bethany bunny Xx
Thank you, so pleased that bunsters Harry and Bethany are pleased – that’s really great to know! X
Love collecting all bunny things and cannot wait to share this site with my very soon to be first grandchild. I will be getting your book very soon. Lovely site for the kids (and bunny lovers).
Hello Betty! How lovely to hear from you. I’m so glad you’re a fellow bunny-fan, and how hugely exciting to hear about your first grandchild… do please stay in touch: perhaps he or she can join the Happy Bunny Club and be the very very smallest bunny in it! X
My 2 year old daughter Isla is a huge Bunny Club fan. We’ve made our own badge and are delighted to see that there’s a real bunny club that she can be “in”. Can’t wait for I HEART Holidays to arrive, we’ve had it on pre-order for months. Thanks Clara x
Hello Isla! Welcome to the Happy Bunny Club! I’m so happy to know you’re looking out for the next story. I’ll be posting some jolly bit and pieces here on https://www.claras.me, starting on Monday June 30th, so do come back to see… with lots of love from Clara and Martha XX
