It was one of those ALL THE TREATS ARE FOR ME moments at the HarperCollins offices…
How I love the muffins from their canteen, with extraordinarily huge lumps of banana (I won’t share a picture, trust me – you really don’t want to see).
But not half as much as much as I love…
a brown paper reveal…
and a very first, long-awaited copy of my new book, to hold in my eager hands and stroke.
I practically would have licked it, but there were other people present (and there had just been the banana muffin, of course).
Congratulations! That is one of the best brown paper treats I have ever seen! Actually, THE best. Looking forward to mine – so that will be a jiffy bag treat as it’s coming through post…
You are SO kind to say! A jiffy bag treat is a very good kind of treat too. Jiffy is a good word, I think…
Squeak! I want to read it NOW! 😉 x
How wonderful – thank you! And I can’t wait to dedicate a copy to your lovely girls…
It looks wonderful! Martha’s such a cheerful-looking rabbit – I only have to glance at her and she puts a smile on my face.
Your kind words have put a big smile on MY face! As does a visit to http://wordstroll.wordpress.com/ – which is fast becoming an essential part of the day…
It looks absolutely fab, you do draw the most utterly gorgeous little rabbits :0)
What a lovely thing to say – thank you so much! I am utterly soppy about rabbits. It’s the ears and the toothy smiles…
Although when we had a REAL rabbit one he was very bad-tempered and kicked a lot, and could only be cuddled when tightly rolled up in a towel.
One of the great things about my job – seeing Real Life through rose-tinted spectacles!
We have been told this before about rabbits, which is why we ruled out them out as pets. Instead, we got a big lump of a dog who, an hour ago, was happily rolling in manure. Joy.
