it isn’t??? oh well – it is now… because here comes Muffin!
I’m in an even more than usually sunny-side-up mood and putting out the bunting because the first story in the series about Muffin, Muffin and the Birthday Surprise, published by Orchard Books, is coming out in paperback on February the 2nd!
A tale of friends, hugs and sugar buns…
And it has a totally delicious new cover (a huge thank you to the Orchard lovelies Sophie and Mara).
Carousel said:
the story will have an immediate appeal to young children who enjoy the gentle humour of the visual joke and the simple language which is surprisingly resonant.
I’ve got a few surprises of my own to celebrate (no, not a half-eaten bag of buns) – so watch this space.
And remember, World Bear Week means…
BEAR HUGS ALL ROUND, EVERYBODY!
How exciting – congratulations!
Hello Elli – and thank you so much for saying so! I appreciate it VERY much. x
It looks lovely – and it’s my godddaughters 2nd birthday tomorrow – so Muffin may be a late birthday pressie! When is Martha coming? I’ve ordered her but I’ve forgotten the date…
You are clever, Clara. What a great thing to do with your life – give pleasure & fun to little children and precious time for their parents & family when reading your books with them. That’s a job I’d be proud to do!
How lovely that you might consider Muffin for your goddaughter! She’s the prefect age. Martha arrives in the world at the beginning of April; would you remind me of the name of the recipient??
I so appreciate that you value the job of making books for children and families to enjoy. And you remind me of what should be at the forefront at all times: time spent sharing a book is, as you say, very precious indeed.
