felt Pip tree decoration

 

Make your own felt Pip. How sweet!

You will need:

• some small pieces of felt in white, pink and one other colour
• three small buttons
• PVA glue
• black pen
• a pinch of stuffing or cotton wool
• 12-15cm piece of ribbon

Carefully cut around the paper pieces, and it’s all ready to assemble.

 

 

Add some filling for the tummy (not much or it’s impossible to close him up!), glue around the edges and attach the front piece. Keep pressing around the edges for a bit while it is drying.

 

 

For the head, glue the ears and loop of ribbon just inside…

 

 

… put an (even smaller) pinch of stuffing in the middle and glue around the edges.

 

 

Put the body in place, and add a little extra blob of glue in the chin area.

 

 

Now all it needs is the front head piece, a nose, some buttons…

draw on the eyes and smile
(I couldn’t find any pen that didn’t do that spidery leaky thing into the felt, so I decided that the best thing would be not to mind), and –

perfect!
